To add to this brand-new line-up, every Friday & Saturday night from 7:00pm, we will be bringing you 8 hours of Gravity Dance. This will include not only those big dance hits to dance the night away with, but we have some top DJ’s who will be doing a weekly set exclusively for us at Gravity. Some names will be familiar like Elixir, Futosé & Matt Ashton and a couple that will be new like Jay Forster & Mike Swaine. So many new names to get to know over the coming weeks but each and every one of them will want you coming back for more as they are passionate about what they do and they would love to have your company during their shows.
Second bit of news to reveal is our brand spanking new Summer Season for 2018. Yes, as we enter the 2nd half of 2018, we have some special themed weekends lined up for you so that you can not only enjoy the summer sun but have a party at the same time. The themed weekends will each have a special themed show leading up to them and will be aired on the Wednesday evening before so that we get you in the mood for what is coming up. Here is what you can look forward to this summer on Gravity:
July 21st & 22nd – We Love 2000s
July 28th & 29th – Now That’s What I Call a Weekend!
August 11th & 12th – We Love 1990s
August 25th – 27th – Summer Beach Party
Each of these themed weekends will have a special show to kick things off on the Wednesday before, so make sure you listen out for our very own Phil Morrall on July 18th & 25th, and August 8th & 22nd from 7:00pm as he takes you on a journey into what will be coming up the following weekend.
The final piece of news we must announce here at Gravity is our sound. And you must be thinking, what’s going on here? Well, Gravity has been going through a transition over the last couple of months and in part with this, we have a new sounding to what Gravity is all about and this will define who we are as a radio station. What will be new will be that at the beginning of each hour, we will be playing you music that has either come from local artists around the Gravity region, or big named stars from the North West of England. As we love everything about Manchester and it’s surrounding areas, we thought it would be great to showcase the talent there is around the city and also an insight into who we think will be future stars in the music industry and play you some of their own original content that we believe that will go far as time goes on.
We will of course be playing our usual mix of big chart tunes and hits but with the addition of this new section, we believe that we will be part of this city and playing you hits for the city as well and staying true to our ethos at Gravity.
So many things happening here at Gravity and so much in the way of new and exciting things coming up so #watchthisspace as we are the Sound of the City!
